Key Account Manager (m/f/d) SEMI Europe

Here is where you make the difference:

  • As a Key Account Manager for ASMPT SEMI Europe, you will be at the forefront of fostering robust relationships with our esteemed clients through regular interactions and collecting dedicated customer feedback, aimed at building trust and understanding of client or customer’s market needs.
  • Your role involves setting and monitoring specific, measurable goals for your Key Account, underpinned by a transparent and effective reporting, ensuring accountability and progress tracking.
  • Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive market analyses to uncover opportunities, and crafting strategic positioning for ASMPT SEMI solutions (as an Investment Good/Capex), thereby driving business growth and market penetration.
  • As a regional or global liaison, you will address technical and business inquiries from your key account, serving as the ultimate escalation point, and will organize pivotal technical review/roadmap meetings and regular business meetings with primary contacts at both management and working levels.
  • In your capacity, you will act as a crucial interface with the customers' (global) supply chain and purchasing management on all commercial aspects, preparing and negotiating vital agreements and contracts.
  • Your role extends to being an internal communication conduit, disseminating key account-related information and strategies to relevant teams, internally within ASMPT SEMI Europe but also towards ASMPT SEMI HQ.
  • A significant part of your role involves determining final pricing, creating detailed quotations for each transaction, and meticulously monitoring all system deliveries and statuses, ensuring seamless coordination with the corresponding teams.
  • You will be instrumental in presenting, marketing, and selling ASMPT SEMI’s cutting-edge equipment and solutions, a task that involves maximizing business volumes and forging enduring relationships with your Key Account.
  • Moreover, you will effectively and efficiently “manage” multiple customer projects, supporting the development and implementation of both short and long-term SEMI product strategies for the region.
  • Your leadership will be pivotal in guiding efforts to achieve revenue and profit goals, aligning with ASMPT's overarching strategy. This role requires you to evaluate, set, and achieve targets for booking new business and upsell sales for SEMI process solutions, alongside enhancing the company’s understanding of product offerings, capabilities, pricing, and competitive positioning.
  • Additionally, this position involves regular domestic and international travel to key account sites and occasional visits to company locations in Asia, offering you a global perspective and diverse cultural interactions.

  • Experience in technical sales and account management of capital goods with knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures in semiconductor production
  • Mastery of project management Ability to manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and make appropriate and timely decisions 
  • Proven experience in the SEMI / Back-End business
  • Experience in the Medical or Automotive Tier 1 industry (for SEMI / Electronics)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting / financing principles 
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to work independently and as a team member with all levels of a global organizations 
  • Intercultural experiences and skills (Europe, Asia, USA) 
  • Skills in convincing customers and ASMPT SEMI Management 
  • Ability and willingness to quickly and effectively familiarize with new products and customer requirements to meet deadlines and budget requirements 
  • Mastery of the MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Fluent English and German - written and spoken - other languages advantageous 
  • B.Sc. or equivalent degree in a technical discipline - MBA advantageous
